Privacy Policy
Effective August 15, 2026
Faith Horizon Baptist Church ("Faith Horizon," "we," "us," or "our") is a church located at 8519 E 24th St, Yuma, Arizona 85365. We value the trust you place in us when you visit our website, fill out a form, or share information with our church family. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us. This may include:
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you submit our Contact or Plan Your Visit forms.
- Message content — prayer requests, questions, visit details, or other information you include in a message to us.
- Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends to our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not knowingly ask for or collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or government ID numbers through this website.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your questions, prayer requests, and visit plans.
- To welcome you and follow up after a visit or inquiry.
- To share church news, service details, and ministry updates if you ask us to.
- To maintain the security, reliability, and improvement of our website.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Prayer Requests and Pastoral Communications
Prayer requests and pastoral conversations are treated with care and confidentiality. We will not publish a prayer request, share it with a prayer team, or read it aloud in a service unless you have asked us to do so. Arizona law recognizes the clergy-penitent privilege (A.R.S. § 13-4062), and we honor confidential pastoral communications accordingly. Please note that Arizona law also requires clergy and church workers to report reasonable suspicions of abuse or neglect of a child or a vulnerable adult (A.R.S. §§ 13-3620 and 46-454), subject to the limits of that privilege.
4. Children and Youth
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Registration for children's or youth ministry activities is handled offline through a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has submitted information through our website, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
5. Service Providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate this website and communicate with you — for example, our website hosting platform, our email delivery service, and embedded Google Maps on our Contact page. These providers process information only as needed to provide their service to us. Clicking a link to Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube takes you to that company's platform, which is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Our site uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed for the site to function and stay secure. Embedded content, such as maps or video players, may set its own cookies. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the site work. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals at this time.
7. Email and Text Communications
We contact you only in response to your request or with information you have asked to receive. Every ongoing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you may ask us at any time to stop contacting you. We follow the federal CAN-SPAM Act, and Arizona's anti-spam and consumer protection provisions (A.R.S. §§ 44-1372 et seq. and the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act, A.R.S. § 44-1521 et seq.), in our communications.
8. Data Security and Breach Notification
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website and limiting access to submitted form messages to church leadership. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting personal information covered by Arizona's data breach notification law (A.R.S. § 18-552) were to occur, we would notify affected individuals as that law requires.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact and message information only as long as needed for ministry follow-up, church records, or as required by law. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
10. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what information we have about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Request that we delete your information.
- Opt out of church emails, texts, or calls.
Arizona does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute, and churches are generally exempt from state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Even so, we honor these requests as a matter of practice. If you live in a state or country with additional privacy rights, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
11. Giving and Donations
Any online giving is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers. Donation records are kept as needed for contribution statements and IRS recordkeeping requirements for tax-exempt organizations, and are treated as confidential church records.
12. Photography and Video at Church Events
We sometimes take photos or video during worship services and church events and may use them on this website or our social media pages. If you prefer not to appear in church media, please let a staff member know or contact us and we will honor your request.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
